Is it possible to populate a drop down list programmatically in a Variable Product with say every Product Name in the “black” category in WooCommerce? That way I don’t have manually keep updating this list every time I add a new shirt let’s say. And then somehow be able to add the product in the dropdown menu to the cart? Ex: say I had 5 shirts in the black category. I would be able to set the drop down menu to black. it would show those 5 Product names in the black category.

I know there has to be some plugin out there that does this. In my attached links example, I want to add all the strain types in the kratom-powder category to the “Strain Type” drop down list dynamically/programmatically.

  • Hi @ilikerolls,

From what I understand, you want to have a list where when you select the attribute (Let’s say color in your case), the products with those attributes to show up within that category, right?

If that’s the case, you can make use of the extension – Product Filters.

Let us know if that helps. If it doesn’t, please reply here with more details and we’ll help you get this sorted.

    Thanks.

    Hi @ilikerolls

I just wanted to follow-up with you on this thread; hope you were able to achieve your requirements to set up a list where you can select the attributes and have them listed using the extension we suggested.

I’m marking this thread as Resolved as we have not heard back from you in a while. If the problem persists though, feel free to reopen this, we would be happy to look into this for you.

    All the best!
