• We need to set up shipping where the first item is $7.70 to ship and each additional one they order is $1.99 extra added to the shipping.

So, order 1 and shipping is $7.70
Order 2 and shipping is $9.69

Each additional adds $1.99 since we can insert multiples into flat rate containers.

Please advise as to how this can be accomplished with the Booster. We’ve been working with the custom shipping module and ‘by quantity’ by it doesn’t allow for item #1 to be a larger amount.

  • Hi simco,

    Unfortunately that’s not exactly possible.

    1) If you set Booster’s “Custom Shipping” “Type” to be “By total cart quantity” this would allow charging a price per item (so the first one wouldn’t be $7.70, it would also be $1.99). In this case you could also use “Checkout Fees” module to add an additional fee for shipping.

    2) If you set “Type” to “By total cart quantity table” you would be able to add multiple “rows” with different quantities and prices but you would have to write this for lots of quantities 1-infinity or whatever you think is the highest amount a customer would purchase. If you choose to do this, you should set the “Table Total Rows” to the amount of rows you are going to make, then for each “Max Weight or Quantity #X” set the value to X and appropriate cost (1st – $7.70, 2nd – $9.69, 3rd – $11.68 and so on).
