    Hi,

I’ve read other support topics where you say W3 Total Cache is compatible, but I am running the latest version of both plugins and WordPress, and our homepage does not redirect to the AMP version when W3TC is enabled. I’m almost positive this is a W3TC conflict because as soon as I click “Empty Page Cache” and refresh on my iPhone, the AMP version displays. Thoughts?

    Thanks ??

  • Hello,
Are you using User Agent Groups setting in W3 Total Cache for this?

I’ve never touched the Performance > User Agent Groups screen.

    Hello,

Then you should. There you can create a group of user agents by specifying names in the user agents field. Assign a set of user agents to use a specific theme, redirect them to another domain or if an existing mobile plugin is active, create user agent groups to ensure that a unique cache is created for each user agent group. Drag and drop groups into order (if needed) to determine their priority (top -> down).
Use “Pass Through” for Theme: and enter domain name this user groups you want redirected to. This is recommended if a 3rd party service provides a mobile version of your site.

Oh. I am talking about the Mobile Redirection setting in AMP > Settings > Advance Settings not working: https://my.cl.ly/content/bb980f9896f3

If this setting doesn’t jive with caching plugins, the Amp plugin should mention this.

@vmarko Is there a way for W3TC to append “/amp” to the URL and redirect mobile devices only? That would be a workaround until the plugin author addresses this officially.

    Hi @nothin7,

    1. Please enable the w3 total cache extension plugin called “AMP”. Screenshot: https://take.ms/JnNSf

    2. And then go to the User Agent Groups section and just tick the “enabled” checkbox for the Group name “tablets” and “phones”. And click on the “save settings & Purge caches” button. Screenshots:

    Hi @ampforwp,

I enabled the AMP extension, but my User Agent Groups are “high” (https://my.cl.ly/content/61f2180c3921) and “low” (https://my.cl.ly/content/cdff899b0074). How do I get “tablets” and “phones” in there?

    Thanks again.

    Hi @nothin7,

can you enable those “high” and “low” User Agent Groups (Screenshot: https://take.ms/1lm6w ) and check whether the issue is resolved or not.

    Please let us know.

Thanks! Yes, my iPhone is redirected now, but I must ask: why does your list of user agents look different from mine, and if your list is more complete, how do I get your list?

    Hi @nothin7,

Glad to hear the issue has been resolved. I’ve just installed & activate the W3TC plugin and by default, I’ve got those lists.

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you
