It seems that Jetpack started to upload my images to wp.com (since 01/19).

I dont want that at all.

Could somebody tell me please how I can get them back?

    The folder 2019 is missing.

I decativated jetpack. now the url says the images should be in the monthly folder, which dosent exist. before it was on wp.com/mydomain/wp-uploads…

I would like to get my images back.

    Hi gregberlin –

What site are you working on? If you don’t want to share that here, publicly, we can be reached via:

    https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support

I’ll need you to reactivate the Jetpack plugin to provide any insight.

thx for your reply. My page is not online yet.

is there no way to download the images from that server?

then I could manually upload them to my wordpress and hope that they will stay there.

Jetpack doesn’t specifically upload your images only to WordPress.com.

When you have our image CDN enabled, new images are added to our CDN, but they are never removed from your site. In fact, if you remove an image from your site, we take that as a cue to remove it from our CDN too.

How exactly were you uploading the images in the first place? Even though it wouldn’t be Jetpack doing this, we may at least be able to help you track down the problem.

thx James. I uploaded them ruglar via wordpress.

they are there, but no folder. not on cpanel or ftp.

the url seems to be correct.

    For example: mypage.de/uploads/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/NAME.jpg?ssl=1

I deactivated jetpack and uploaded new images. It is the same thing: Images online and in the library, but not in cpanel.

    any idea?

    thx,

    greg

Have you looked for those images in other folders? Since they’re being added and you can see them in the library, they are clearly there. It’s just a matter of finding them.

At this point, I’d suggest that you reach out to your host and have them look for those images on your server. They should be able to help you figure out why they’re being saved outside of the uploads folder too.
