Icons not showing and how to add custom url to icon?

I’m answering your questions below.

1) Facebook and other icons are not displayed. They’re displayed only on homepage.

A: I’m not sure how you have configured the settings. Please check if you have made any changes to “conditions to display the template”.

Also I’m not able to see the plugin activated anywhere on the site.

2) I want to add youtube in row but when i add custom URL then your plugin understands it as: swiadomosc-zwiazkow/youtube/mychannelname

A: Please enter the URL with https://

3) No minds.com icon. How to add it manually?

A: There is no official API provided by minds.com to share URL. Once it is available I’ll add it to the plugin.

4) You can do it even now. Please follow below steps.

A:
a) Go to https://developers.google.com/youtube/youtube_subscribe_button
b) Enter your channel name and copy the code
c) Go to WP Socializer –> Share buttons –> click “Add sharing button” –> click “Custom HTML” –> Click “+” button
d) The custom button will now be created.
e) Click the “gear” icon on the “custom HTML” button.
f) Paste the code you’ve copied.
g) Save settings
h) Youtube subscribe button will be now displayed along with other buttons.

Im now testing server CPU usage and disabled plugin for now. But i will answer

1) on homepage icons are visible and clear and on others they’re only full color like blue, green etc. or with “error”. They are selected as visible.

2) I’ve entered it and nothing changed.

3) I didn’t mean sharing minds icon but icon to enter their page. Can we add it as custom ON the sharing main bar? My own image etc.

4) Thank you. Can we add not only facebook share button but like button next to it on main bar?

1) There should be some CSS issue because of the theme. Please activate the icons and share me the page. I’ll investigate quickly and let you know why the icons are of full color.

2) Hmm.. if the profile URL starts with https://twitter.com/vaakash then the follow bar will have the correct link. Can you please confirm if you have clicked “apply settings” ?

3) Got it. Before I give instruction, can you please let me know where you want the minds icon ? on the “floating sharebar” or “follow bar” ?

4) Yes you can do it. Under “share buttons” page you can “add share buttons” –> select “facebook” –> select the “like button” and add it to the template. Let me know if you need more details. I hope the interface is quite intuitive.

All buttons don’t function properly. Twitter share post is strange.

Facebook sharing is english and polish mixed (im polish)

3. I can’t reaarage facebook share and like icon. I want to share icon be first and like button be second.

4. I don’t see RSS button? I must made custom icon for it too?

5. I’m clicking “save icons” and “save settings”, not “apply”.

6. I want minds icon on static share bar (where i have other icons) but it will be only url to get to the homepage like https://www.minds.com/mypage + their icon. I don’t know how to upload own icon image and enter it in html

I’m using cloudflare, w3 total cache and js & css optimizer with steve clay minying

Maybe theyre blocking fonts or icons. I don’t know.

Custom icon (youtube) is first in arragment and it is showing as last and it is not working (“you are not logged in) and shows 999 likes.

Icon like (lubie to) is first but i want to this text “7.48m” to be first. We can’t change it location.

Facebook like and shares count is not working properly. Here is showing 0

Maybe it is because changing from http to https? How to recover this?

Okey. A have added facebook like and share box. But it is too small space next to other icons above. Eventually can i align this one icon to center?

Youtube share icon added properly too but other youtube icon with custom URL isn’t link properly.

Minds.com added too but it dont have and no label when i move mouse cursor on it.

Few problems persists
– arragment of icons
– to small space of each icon
– not working custom URL (mail, youtube)
– shares and likes counter is not working properly (https problem?)
– lack of custom labels option because they’re english now and its not ok (i set polish SDK)
– don’t know if whatssap icon is working because i don’t have mobile

OK. im only adding what’s the problem.

New
– how to do that icons are opening in new windows
– youtube does not detect if we are logged in and tells always “login to subsribe”

As you see youtube icon is on the level of facebook like button on my image. On my page is on low level.

And question about performance. Connecting icons are CPU heavy for my hosting.

Maybe we can add option to preload fonts and preconnect to connect.facebook.net, https://www.facebook.com, apis.google.com itd, https://www.youtube.com and others needed for your plugin

No facebook fanpage and very chaotic

And one more. Can we place loading fonts and icons to the footer? (fontawesome)

Social icons generates many requests and i want to load them last. Font awesome – 250ms on my server and google insights tell me that i must delay it loading

Thanks for your patience.

1) Youtube icon URL is incorrect => There is an issue. I’m fixing it in next release.

2) Cannot move youtube subscribe button => Since youtube subscribe button is a div, it is not fitting in the line. I’m fixing this in next release.

3) For mail, no need to give “custom url” you can leave as it is. Anyways what is the mail URL you are trying ?

4) Share & like counter is 0 for that particular page. Please go to https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button/ and paste the page’s URL. It will be 0. Not related to https

5) To show “title” (or) “label” as you say you have to use the “title” attribute. Example: Minds as the custom HTML.

6) Regarding the icons are cluttered in mobile. You can create two templates. One template to show only for desktop and other template with less buttons on mobile. Note the “Template 1/2/3” tab in “share buttons” page. You can also use some CSS to adjust the space between the different buttons as you want.

7) Placing fontawesome at the end of the site is not recommended as the user will see “blank” buttons when the page is not yet fully loaded. There is no option by default to load CSS at the footer for now. But if you really want to load at the footer, you can disable loading fontawesome by going to WP Socializer –> settings –> “css/js to not load in any page” set value as sb_icon_css. Then you can load the fontawesome later manually by from the theme or using some other plugin.

8) Regarding adding “preload” for certain domains, I need to understand the behavior and test if it really helpful for the users. I’ll add the feature to my todo list once I’m done with my research.

NOTE:

I see that you are trying to place all buttons and icons related to your social profile and not related to sharing the page.

I mean buttons under “share buttons” are used to share the current page the user is viewing. Buttons like “youtube subscribe”, “facebook page like widget”, “rss feed” do not share the current page the user is viewing.

“Share buttons” automatically get the current page URL the user is viewing and allows the user to share it on their social networking site.

Usually all profile related buttons like “follow me on facebook”, “follow me on twitter”, “subscribe to youtube” etc links will be placed on the “sidebar” as a widget.
This is achieved using “follow bar” feature. Please do explore that feature.

NOTE 2:

Regarding the next release, it will be available by tomorrow.

5) I understand, but can you please enter full code for this? Or implement adding these atrributes to HTML editor? Like upload icon + enter referring url and title?

6) Ok. I understand but i don’t have mobile then i don’t know how it works. Ive disabled share icons on mobile. Please check if they are disabled. If yes i will build mobile icons.

I don’t code then this is not simple for me. All automatic/intuitive boxes and options for this would be easier for many people.

7) This is my intention that the icons / font will load at the end because they have a long loading time, many http requests etc. Therefore, if they’re loaded in footer only moment the icons will not be visible. The option could be available to change. We may test this how it looks. As for disabling here and enabling in another plugin or theme… i don’t know how to do this.

8) Preload and preconnect because it’s good to connect to facebook, google apis, fonts etc because this is external http/dns. I read about it whole night and i think this is not very hard if someone is creating plugins

9) NOTE 1: yes, but i want to pleace them in one-two rows. Not on side or another place. Readers of my blog appreciate if all social icons + share icons are togheter and arranged in a nice way = above content
