Cannot get Box.com to automatically authenticate

    After installing the External Media plug-in and activating it, I go to the settings for enabling Box. There is a field for adding a Box Client ID. I have used the Box Developer console to create a new app. Actually, there are 4 choices for a new app type. I have tried all 4 and each of them show a Client ID field under the configuration tab for each app. I have tried using all of these in the External Media plug-in. In each case, after adding it, I can immediately go to the WordPress Media page, click add new, then click on import from Box. It takes me immediately to my files on Box. This is exactly how I want it to work. However, after I subsequently logout of the Box.Com page open in my web browser or after about an hour from creating the Box app, it no longer works automatically. At this point, when I click on the Import from Box link, I am presented with a logon page for Box.com. How can I get this setup to automatically signon to Box without having to manually provide credentials everytime I want to import a file from Box?

    Hi Randy,

    The file uploader is generated by the Box JS library and we don’t have control over it. They might have some options to extend timeout time but I would have to take a look.

    I think I may have misled you about the problem as I see it. There is no options in the External Media setup to supply the Secret Phrase that goes along with the Box Client ID. I believe this is necessary for auto authentication to happen. The only reason the link works the first time for me as I mentioned above is that I am already logged into Box because I was in the developer console setting up the Box App to get a Client ID. If I log out of Box.com after getting this Client ID and before trying to use the WordPress Media page, then Box requires that I enter user credentials. Isn’t the point of getting a Client ID / Secret phrase from the Box APP so that user credentials are not required each time you access Box from within WordPress Media?
