• Newbie question:
    I have purchased a few more in-depth WP books to speed up my learning curve and trying to understand where programs are installed and how they are used. I am on WP 5.1 and currently using Twenty Seventeen Theme and a Child. One of my books talks about style selector called colorphon in the footer of each page that places the line. I cannot seem to find this in any file and wonder if this is a depreciated selector. I did find site-info.php where to change in my child theme to my site wording for copyright but cannot find the colorphon to take a look at that. Any insight would be helpful.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    it’s “colophon”, not “colorphon”.

    In twentyseventeen, the footer area starts with this line:

    <footer id="colophon" class="site-footer" role="contentinfo">

    You would not use that to change the *content* of the footer.

    If I recall correctly, there are widget areas (sidebars) for the footer content. So go to appearance->widgets to edit the content.

    Yes, I see I mistyped the name, thank for the correction. No wonder I could not find the name. I will check out the suggestion as well!
