    Hi,

is it possible to place the standard search field for products not in the top bar, which I do not want to use at all, without coding or do I net a plug in?

I have a smaller number of products and need just a basic search function which additionally allows to see what people were searching for. Any hint or recommendation is highly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hey,
You can use the WooCommerce search widget and add it to any widget area in your site (Appearance > Widgets). Would that work for you?

From Appearance > Widgets you should see a Product Search widget. Do you see that?

Hi Hannah, thanks for your patience. I found it.
But I want to have it as part of the main menu. Is that possible? I can just opt for the top bar what I do not like and in the widgets sections I can place it only in sidebars or footers.

The link below shows the main menu and I would love to place it besides the word “Warenkorb”.

    Thanks again ??

The premium theme provides the option to add a search to your menu, but not the free version. You could try using a plugin like this: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-menu-cart/

Thank you. I thought to place the search field at different menus is a bsaic feature. thanks again for your efforts.

You should be able to use this plugin to add a widget area to your menu:

    Does that work for you?

    Hi Kevin,

thanks, a cool plug in. but i think for me it is a bit oversized missing the relevant experience. I just wanted to add the standard search field to my main menu. i think i found out that i can add it only to a sidebar. and i think my sidebar is not showing because i have chosen the “full width” in the main page layout function. sorry i try to translate from german. here you can see the layout style:

do my learning which i try to describe make any sense and is there any easy workaround instead of enabling the search field in the top bar which is the only thing i chieved but do not want so far.

    thank a lot,

    Hatem

    Hey,
You can enable a sidebar on your homepage from Theme Options > Home Layout.
    Hope that helps!
