Changes to my web pages not going through

  • My site was working fine until a couple of days ago. My problem started with a redirect problem, I thought I fixed the problem with a 301 redirect plugin but now I am having a different problem.

    When I try to make changes or add a photo or video to my site the change is not going through. As long as I am logged in as the administrator I can see the change but if I log out and visit my web site the change isn’t visible. It may be something simple but this is my first website so I need a little advice.

    Whatever you did, try undoing it.

    If that does not help, attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
