Unable to update email address in the User Profile

    Unable to update my email address in the User Profile. Old email address just wont go away and I do not have access to it anymore. What are my options besides creating a new user account?

    Access PHPMYADMIN through your hosting control panel. Look in wp_users for the row that has your user account and change the email address there.

    I meant to have the info changed for this site/forum, the email is also used as login credentials. It is very weird, it says that the confirmation has been sent to the new address and it gets verified by clicking the link within email. However what I believe is happening and is not properly conveyed is the fact that another email is being sent to the original/registered/on file email address to confirm the changes to be made.
