WordPress 2.8 was working fine now it goes to: wp-admin/install.php

Blog has been running for almost a year and a half. I had some database trouble yesterday fixed it with a repair. I put up 3 or 4 new posts and everything seemed fine.

Then when I went to the add post page it would look a little strange so I did an auto upgrade to reinstall. When I tried to go to the site the browser would take me to the install.php file and as if it was a new setup. I then did a manual reinstall and got the same result.

I have done several reinstalls and it always goes back to the install.php page. I even tried to fill out the info there and when WP asks me to login it goes right back. The database appears to be fine and has all the information. The wpconfig file also looks ok and has my blog info.
