I have a query about something similar to what is reported in this topic

My site is cached on cloudflare.
When testing my site on gtmetrix (and only when using the chrome option) I get the “Serve resources from a consistent URL” flag and two copies of the minified js are found

https://rathfarnhamparish.ie/wp-content/cache/minify/d8750.default.include.cb5f39.js

What is interesting is I know exactly how to reproduce this. It only happens on pages on my site where the url is redirected to another page.
https://rathfarnhamparish.ie/baptism/ is redirected to
https://rathfarnhamparish.ie/sacraments/baptism/
and I only get “Serve resources from a consistent URL” on the first not the second.

The above phenomenon only happens on gmetrix using chrome. There is no doubling up when using Firefox.
It seems clear that the combination of w3tc and cloudflare is picking up a copy of the minified file from both the original url and the redirected page.

I could avoid all of this by not using redirected pages but unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a way to avoid (what amount to) redirects for a static front page in WordPress.

Any help appreciated. I hope the problem being identifiable and reproducible helps.

Hello,
Just to confirm, do you have minify enabled in both Cloudflare and W3 Total Cache?

Thanks for getting back Marko.

I don’t have minify enabled on cloudflare I do have it on w3tc.

If that had been the source of the doubling up it would probably be happening on all pages but as I said it only happens on internally redirected pages (and only using chrome not firefox – according to gmetrix)

One more clue that may help.

I “solved” this on my front page by adding a tiny bit of token js in w3tc Minify for the front page template alone. Now w3tc ignores the default.js from the redirected url and only injects a single front.js for my front page.

It’s a limited and not very satisfying solution though.

I just checked and I am using it for css but not for js.
Happy to change either of those.

Hello,
Sorry for the late response.
Clearing all caches including Cloudflare one should help with the issue you are having.
Please clear all cache both plugin and Cloudflare.

All caches have been cleared many times to no effect.

To recap, the effect occurs on GTmetrix using chrome browser (mobile and desktop).

The clearest illustration is what happens with and without the trailing slash (on every page)

No problem with this url (Pagespeed 97%)

However this url (Pagespeed 85%)

produces a PageSpeed “Serve resources from a consistent URL” message
