Hey first of im a beginner and facing some problem in getting the plugin working on my WordPress 5.1 version. I installed the plugin v4.0.1 , activated it but now its nowhere to be seen though its listed and activated under “Installed Plugins”..

I checked the media tab and also went in editing a post to see if I can find a getty images option but could not find anything.

would be great if you can help out and tell me why its not really shown though its activated. Moreover I dont even know if its the right plugin for my site. I actually want to use it for uploading free getty images to my posts. since wordpress doesnt offer the option to add images for my blog posts via getty embed code. i can only upload a picture or choose from the library.

I hope this plugin makes it easier but therefore i need to get it working first.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi @karlmann,
If you have the plugin installed and are editing a post, you can find the Getty Images plugin by clicking the small + sign to add a new block. The + will open a window showing available blocks. Within the blocks window you can search for Getty Images and click the Getty Images icon. That will create a Getty Images block that opens the plugin when you click Select Image.

Here’s are a few screenshots to help:

Getty Images block inserted and ready to launch plugin: https://drive.google.com/open?id=18VfBA9rTVMny1PV-luE0vZpR9dbVVQQ8

The plugin does support Embed so sounds like it will work perfectly for your needs.
Please reach out if you any more questions.

thank you so much for the quick reply. thats really amazing.
okay now that makes totally sense! sorry like i mentioned im a beginner but now that i know how to use it looks like an awesome plugin for inserting images directly into my blog post pages.

I was just wondering if its possible to somehow add images as “featured image” to a blog post?
by the way i saw the other topics in this forum regarding featured posts but i was just wondering if there might be an update on it and im just again to blind to see how to do it…
because i saw this blog: https://www.hitc.com/

this blog also seems to use embeddable getty images as featured images for their blog posts. so i thought it might be possible somehow.. in an easy way..
    greetings

    Hi @karlmann,
Glad to hear you’re up and running! Unfortunately, the featured image option is not available for Embed, only for licensed download. Embed is added to the post as an iframe which is not supported for featured images.

The link you sent is not an approved use of Embed because the iframe has been modified.
