Conflict Between Elementor and NextGen

    Hello,

    As of this afternoon, after I performed a backup, the free version of Elementor will no longer open into the editor screen with the free version of NextGen active. I have NextGen Version 3.1.7, Elementor Version 2.5.5. I have debugged my site, and NextGen is the only conflict with Elementor. I am not using any other photo imaging plugins. Please help, a large part of my site runs photo galleys from NextGen.

    Hi @redtravelmaster,

    Even though we currently have received a couple of reports of NextGen Gallery conflicting with Elementor Pro’s freezing for some of our clients ( doesn’t seem to occur for everyone ), we haven’t heard of similar issues between NGG and the free Elementor.

    Let’s first check the server settings to make sure you have everything up to date. Reach out to your hosting provider and confirm they have the https://www.imagely.com/docs/requirements/ settings in place:

    With those in place, everything should work smoothly for you.

    Seems to be a common practice with software companies – always blame someone else. Even though NextGen did provide a patch, they first had to tell me, and several other people, that the problem was with our hosting company.

    Give them 2 points for providing a patch, but take off one for denying a problem first.

    As you may have noticed, we released a new updated version of NextGEN Gallery today. Unfortunately, the issue for Elementor updates did not make this release. After you update, kindly re-apply the patch (attached).

    As a reminder, please replace the following file here:

    Plugins > nextgen-gallery > products > photocrati_nextgen > modules > third_party_compat > module.third_party_compat.php.
