Can we use the HTML type field to create a file upload directly to the Lead record in Salesforce? Or do you have some other solution for file uploads on your form?

Sorry, the HTML field is for styled output only, any fields defined are ignored.

The web to lead API does not support file uploads, so therefore neither does this plugin.

I’d suggest you look at Gravity Forms and its Salesforce connector if that’s a requirement.

It’s a shame you can’t add support for file attachments being sent to the ‘additional email addresses’ (or the 1st additional email address as a primary) as this is functionality that businesses using web to lead often ask about & would give you a great USP.
Many businesses have referral processes hooked into web-to-lead/case that require supporting documentation to be included with the referral. As a non -developer it would seems a fairly trivial development for a great outcome/ additional function.

On the Lead record n Salesforce you could just have a “[email protected] sent attachments – check your email to view” in the notes field to make peeps aware there’s attachments included.

@sgtwhack A USP for a free plugin? That’s a novel concept! If there is ever a Pro version of this plugin, uploads would most certainly make the feature list.

Of course I could add all kinds of functionality and workarounds, but other form plugins already solve those issues and have ways to connect to Salesforce, hence my suggestion that if you want more features than this plugin offers, those might be a better fit.

I want it all free and I don’t want to have to code ?? Other than the file upload requirements (non Salesforce specific business requirement) this plugin just works a treat for us was all ?? Thanks again!
