How to increase the clickable area of anchors?

This is a html or css question. The SinglePage theme has a fine “elevator-menu” vertically. They are anchors. It works only when you click on the words, but every visitor clicks on the big dot beside and nothing happens. I should like to increase the clickable area for the anchors without effect on the layout.
I can manage this start-page only in Costumization, I cannot find it among the pages.
What can I do?
