• hey, I have two questions since installing wp-super-cache. One. I have Super Compression ‘on’, but yslow and google’s speed tools still give my blog an F for gzipping files. Do you know why? I have doubled-checked with gzip sites and they say my files are being zipped. Also, my host provider says it does accept gzip compression.

Two. I have a Warning message in the admin for wp-super-cache: “Warning! /…public_html/webname/ is writable. Please make it readonly after your page is generated as this is a security risk.” My host doesn’t know the meaning of this. Do you?

Thanks. I would appreciate your help.

First question is answered. I finally realized that I should setup YSlow on another Firefox profile — there my grade is A (97!)and gzip is checked. Emptying the browser cache, turning off the firewall, nothing else worked on YSlow except to start fresh. Firefox just won’t let go once it caches something! haha!

The other ? is unanswered; if anyone figures it out, please let me know.

Just CHMOD the directory to 755.
