I was hacked and I’m hoping this helps to prevent this again. I was lucky and caught it before it got bad. Updated my PHP to latest version, deleted old and outdated or unused plugins too just in case, plus changed all passwords including database, login, cpanel, hosting, etc. Added this plugin to add an extra layer and hoping I don’t have any more issues. Not sure how it was hacked but a new admin account was created with a Russian email. Checked my Wordfence firewall and did in fact see an influx of Russian traffic around same time.
