    Hi there,

To debug this we need to see the issue in action, so can you please activate and connect Jetpack and let us know so we can check?

Additionally, we need to rule out a plugin or theme conflict as a cause here – Jetpack itself doesn’t touch language settings on your site, so more likely this is a conflict between Jetpack and something else.

Once Jetpack is active and connected, please check if disabling all other plugins and switching to a default theme like Twenty-Nineteen makes the problem go away. If it does, re-enable your theme and plugins one at a time until it breaks again. That will tell you what exactly is causing this conflict.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

i wanted to add screenshots of the issue with and without the plugin, but i can’t see how to add images here.

Upload the screen shot directly to your site’s media library, and then post the image URL here. Or you can use a service like snag.gy

    hey
so i have tried to turn off all plugins and also changed the theme to twenty nineteen and the issue still there, only on the rtl side of the site?
the only plugin that make the issue appear is jetpack, i have tested one plugin at a time.
    this is the image url:

any idea what can it be?

Can you please activate Jetpack on the site and connect it to WordPress.com, and then let us know so we can see the issue in action? Or if possible, can you clone your site and activate Jetpack on the cloned site, so your live site is not affected while we’re still able to investigate?

Can you also tell me what theme and multilingual plugin you’re using? You appear to have some kind of optimization or compression plugin running on that site which prevents your site’s source code from being visible in a browser, so I cannot see what theme and plugins you’re using that way.

Just to confirm, did you check with your optimization and caching plugins disabled as well?

    hey
i have a staging area which is here: https://staging.shtigliz.com/%d7%93%d7%a3-%d7%94%d7%91%d7%99%d7%aa/

after testing some things on the staging area i am pretty sure there is a conflict between jetpack and polylang (which is the plugin i use for multiple languages).

if polylang is on without jetpack all is good. if i have jetpack without polylang all is good. once i have both turned on the issue returns.

this conflict should be adressed, since i am sure i am not the only one who use both those plugins. in order for you to check i have them both on on my staging site.

Thanks for the staging site link.

i am sure i am not the only one who use both those plugins.

You are not the only one using both those plugins. However, I can’t find any previous reports of this particular issue, which leads me to believe there’s another factor involved here.

I asked above what theme you are using. Can you please provide that info as well?

What happens if you switch your staging site to another theme while leaving Jetpack and Polylang enabled?

I assume you want Jetpack because you’re looking for specific features it adds. Which features are those? You can also try disabling the Jetpack modules you don’t need. If that fixes it, it means it’s a specific Jetpack module causing the conflict.

You can see how to disable individual Jetpack modules here:

    hey
i have changed my custom theme to twenty nineteen and as you can see the mess is persisting, so i assume it is not my theme. in addition my theme works without jetpack or polylang. so i am not sure what is going on.
my main interest in jetpack is the free image cdn and lazy loading.

    Hi there,

Looking at your staging site now – https://staging.shtigliz.com/%D7%93%D7%A3-%D7%94%D7%91%D7%99%D7%AA/ – it doesn’t appear to be connected to Jetpack, yet I see the site content is pushed over to the left.

If Jetpack is connected (and the connection working properly), you should see a message saying ‘Everything Looks Great!’ using this tool: https://jetpack.com/support/debug/

You mentioned earlier that you’d disabled all plugins and the issue came back when you enabled Jetpack. To clarify, did you enable Jetpack first with no other plugins (except Polylang) enabled?

    (@derrida)

    hey
this is really bizarre. this is the situation on the staging site now:

    theme: twenty nineteen.
    plugins: jetpack and polylang.

i have noticed this: the issue is with alignfull (and i would assume also alignwide) on the rtl side of the site, only when those two plugins are enabled together:

    without polylang (only jetpack):
    https://www.shtigliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/withoutpoly.jpg

    without jetpack:
    https://www.shtigliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/withoutjet.jpg

    with both enabled:
    https://www.shtigliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/withketandpoly.jpg

so somehow when both enabled they override the css? i do not understand why and how exactly.

That is indeed very odd. Would you please contact us via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support so we can take a closer look?

If it was 2 days ago, you might get a response too. What was the first part of the email address you sent it from? (the part before the @ symbol, not the full email address please)

    Hi @derrida,

Thanks — your message has come through successfully. We’ll follow up by email once we’ve had a closer look at what is causing this behaviour. Thanks for bearing with us in the meantime ??
