Why is this plugin not working for my contact form? When I test it with another email, it doesn’t send an email to the address added to the plugin.

    Hi Tessila,

I’m sorry to hear you’re running into an email delivery issue. This usually happens as a result of email providers trying to combat growth in spam, and this can lead to legitimate emails getting filtered out too, unfortunately

The fix is to install an SMTP, which will configure your site’s emails to be sent as authenticated so that email providers understand they’re legitimate.

Here’s our tutorial on recommended SMTP options, where you’ll also find links to individual tutorials for each option.

    Hope this helps ??

Thank you very much! I’ll look into that.

    Hi Tessila,

I am not sure if you have corrected this issue or not, but we recently fixed a similar issue for a client. In Ethan’s message, he referenced installing an SMTP plugin which will help to authenticate your emails. This is the way to go.

The SMTP plugin that we recommend/installed was Post SMTP. From there you need to know your mail server so if it office 365, that would be something like smtp.office365.com. Using that information Post SMTP will be able to identify the correct Port Number and access information. They will require you to sign up for a free verfication profile, we used sendgrid. They have a free plan for 0 – 100,000 emails a year which is more than enough for most small businesses.

Once we completed the steps everything worked! The contact form was able to be succesfully sent to our client’s websites. So again just to highlight you need two things.

    1. Install Post SMTP plugin
    2. Create a free sendgrid email account

    Hope that helps!

    Hey,
Thank you so much for replying. I did get everything worked out with my contact form after a lot of going through loops. But again, thank you!
