    Hello!

I wondered why my site’s search was broken, and also the search in the post and pages on admin side would yield no result.

Then I went to disable all plugins, and it worked. Then I tried turning on one after one, and the culprit was Ecwid plugin! With it turned on the search won’t work.

Please help me to get search to work.

Remember: both on admin side and frontend search is broken.

You can find the search in the hamburger menu if you want to test.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi Helena,

Thanks for the report, we’re looking into the issue. Will update this thread soon.

    Helena,

I checked on a few of other sites and haven’t replicated the issue. So, it might be related to some specific part of your site. I also checked it with the Ocean WP theme which seems to be the one you’re using. No luck yet — the search works fine in my tests.

It’s clearly replicated on your site though. I was able to see what you see. So, let’s try a few things to locate the issue.

Can you try disabling the “Site Search Integration” function in the Ecwid plugin to check if it is causing the problem. How to do that:
    – Open your WP admin backend
    – Navigate to Ecwid / Advanced
    – Untick the “Integration with search on your site (beta)” checkbox
    – Save the changes
    – Clear caches (if you are using any cache plugin)
    – Refresh your site page in browser and check the search again — does it work?

Please let us know what you find.

    Thanks,

    Hello!

Thank you for your reply! I did not have time until now.

I did as you instructed and now it works. So it is something with that one.
