• New to wordpress, but loving the plugin. Question, is it possible to have an access group created with UAM automatically assigned to newly registered user (i.e. upon regisration, all ‘subscribers’ are assigned to ‘group A’)?

Alternatively, is there a way to have a role lower than administrator (e.g. ‘Editor’) have the ability to assign access groups to users?

  • This is precisely what I am wondering as well.

When new users register, they are “Subscribers” and I would like to set it so that they are added to that group with the goal being that new users only see the post categories I would like them to see by default.

Glad to know that I am not the only one. Be it with this plugin or another solution, does anyone have any ideas about either auto-assigning all subscribers to a specific group or at the very least delegate the admin privilege to another role – editor. Yes, you can call me lazy ??

Try Role Manager plugin. Probably that will take care of issue. But do its support forum to check because it has problem with few plugins.
