Not appearing – Maybe plugin conflict

    Thanks for making this awesome plugin and the ongoing support!

    Unfortunately the banner is not showing up anymore. I believe there is a conflict with either my autooptimize plugin, or another plugin.

    I see the plugin within developer tools screen in google chrome <div id=”simple-banner” class=”simple-banner”></div> but nothing is loading or visible.

    I did see the previous support post about the possible conflict with autooptimize, unfortunately I am not sure how to “add simple banner to async” or whatever.

    Any insights are appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi @chrissolita, there are definitely problems with the way autoptimize interacts with the plugin and have had issues in the past. I’m looking to change my plugin to have it play nicely with plugins like autoptimize, but in the meantime, you’ll need to disable autoptimize to get the plugin to work. And honestly, a website as small as yours won’t see much of a performance boost from autoptimize as it is.

    pretty sure there are less extreme solutions, you could;

    1. disable JS optimization
    2. keep JS optimization active, but disable aggregation
    3. keep optimization & aggregation active, but exclude simple banner’s JS (plugins/simple-banner/simple-banner.js) from being optimized
