• I bought 5 licenses 2 years ago. Total waste of money. Terrible support. Plugin is full of bugs. I can’t even make the list of all of the issues we had with this terrible plugin. We exchanged over 100 mails with the support team and they never fixed anything. We keep having bugs all day every day. Every single update didn’t fix any of the issue, until our license expired and we couldn’t update anymore.

We wasted hundreds of dollars on this plugin and today we logged on WordPress and realized that full-text-rss isn’t working anymore. It’s asking to pay another couple of hundreds of dollars to upgrade the licenses I bought previously even if the bugs are not fixed… and the plugin author purposely disabled the old version of full-text-rss that we paid, just to force customers to upgrade & pay again

    Partial list of problems:
-> Double posts. We get them every day. This should be easy to fix because the titles are identical and the plugin is supposed to have a feature to handle this.
-> Sources randomly stop posting and we have to manually enable them again by changing the cron delay
-> Full-text-rss doesn’t work properly, often a part of the text is missing or it’s posting text that shouldn’t have been included
    -> Character encoding issues
-> Makes the whole website very slow even on a dedicated server running nginx + optimized PHP-FPM + pagespeed + cloudflare
-> images problems and incorrect heading images
-> A lot of other minor issues

ALL of these were reported to the developers YEARS AGO… and NONE of them were fixed but they want us to pay more to update… what a joke

@anarchoi please do reach back out to us to try and resolve these issues.

We do have some minor bugs in our plugins, as does all other software, but to say it is full of bugs when it runs smoothly on over 60,000 websites is inaccurate.

I don’t believe we have any email threads that lasted over 100 replies, but if that is the case, please do reach out to me again personally (ask for Mark) and I’ll look into it right away.

We have not disabled anything to do with our Premium Full Text service that comes with the Full Text RSS Feeds add-on. That add-on, as explained clearly on our website, requires a valid license in order to connect to our servers. If your license has expired, it must be renewed in order to work again. If you had problems with the full text server, I’ll happily address them for you to get to the bottom of this problem.

With regards to your reported issues, here are some guidelines that may help:

    – Double posts rarely ever happen, and we’ve got to the bottom of the majority of them. We have some possible causes documented here.

    – Relying on WordPress cron can sometimes be unreliable. We are working on an alternative of our own, and we also provide solutions to this in our knowledge base here and here.

    – Full Text is a technology we’re looking to improve on. It fetches the full content from the original source, so depending on how that source site is structured, it sometimes pulls in additional content you may not want. That can be removed in most cases with Extraction Rules. Missing text may be down to the full text script not being powerful enough at this stage, we’re working on that.

    – With regards to character encoding issues, have you tried this solution?

    – Performance may become an issue on some servers if you have many feed sources on your site. We’re currently working on some improvements, and you may also look at the articles here for tips on what to do in this situation.

Some of our add-ons did go quite a while without an update for certain unforeseen reasons. That has now changed and all plugins are under active development again.

I hope these help to address some of your issues. Should you wish to continue working with us to resolve the rest, please do reach out to me via email ([email protected]).

So I just gave it a try again, reactivated the plugin and still same bug. It refuses to post anything now. It says the last fetch imported 10 items but nothing is posted. It started happening for no reason 3 weeks ago.

The log says the items have been imported, but nothing is posted. https://prntscr.com/nhi3lf
Last post is 3 weeks ago https://prntscr.com/nhi43p
No, we don’t use cache. Yes, we tried the solutions from your FAQ.

Edit: Feed to Post is now returning Fatal Error when I try to reactivate the plugin. But it was still working 3 weeks ago as you can see in the post history screenshot.

Sorry but i’ve been using it for years and it NEVER ever ran smoothly and the bugs are major

Cool, so it never worked for me, always had bugs, bought 5 licenses and ended up using only 1 of them due to the bugs, and now I should pay again just to test if the bugs are fixed? Doesn’t sounds like a good idea.

We have double posts every weeks since 3 years. We sent TONS of screenshots to your support team and the issue was never resolved.

    – Relying on WordPress cron can sometimes be unreliable. We are working on an alternative of our own, and we also provide solutions to this in our knowledge base here and here.

Then just add an option for experienced users to add the cron to cPanel or Plesk or just ssh it to the crontabs

    – With regards to character encoding issues, have you tried this solution?

Yes but we still get character encoding issues. https://prntscr.com/nhi24e

Should you wish to continue working with us to resolve the rest, please do reach out to me via email ([email protected]).

No thanks. I don’t want to waste my time anymore going through your painful support process, the last time I had to create a separate website and disable all plugins and theme just to show you it was still not working. No time for this anymore. I’m currently developping my own plugin in PHP using Full Text RSS and wordpress built-in functions to add a post to the DB. I don’t get any double-posts or any other issues I experienced with your plugin. On top of all I paid only once for the Full Text RSS from FiveFilters.org unlike your company who is charging yearly fees.

    More bugs.

Now I get this error when trying to re-activate Feed To Post plugin:

“Aventura\Wprss\Core\Component\Logger” is not a component. Feed to Post has been deactivated.

and trying to activate Full Text RSS plugin returns this error:

The WP RSS Aggregator – Full Text RSS add-on requires the WP RSS Aggregator – Feed to Post plugin to be installed and activated, at version 2.9.4 or higher.

    I have version 4.13.1 https://prntscr.com/njp2nj

How can I fix this? I just want to reactivate the plugin so I can back up my data, such as the default feed image and other settings.
