    “No widget added yet” appears on bottom of web page and sometime after a rss feed. Social icons appear on news page, and I do not use social icons yet. 3 footers appear at bottom of each web page, and I do not use footers.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @wholelychit,

    Yes, we have rolled out a new builder for the header/footer which you might like. It offers more customizations options.

    Can you try maybe something like to go to Customizer -> Footer and remove the footer area which you don’t use?
    Let me know how it goes.

    This is happening to me as well. First, old settings reverted to default. Then after I fixed those issues, the header/footer completely disappeared. When I got to Customize I get an option for Widgets and that’s it. Everything has disappeared, and my site is crippled.

    EDIT: this photo

    Thanks for quick reply. I tried to remove footers. No luck. I just updated theme. No change. The “woman” page has no content yet, and you can see clearly the issue. The “news” page shows social icons that should not be there. I am using Echo rss plugin there. On front page I use Super rss feed. All are through Gutenberg. Lite speed cache. I am adding to site now, as I expect to keep theme.
    Thank you.

    Hello @wholelychit and @hgblakeman,

    Can you do the followings as it might be some migration issue that happened:

    1) Go to Customizer Header/Footer and edit it accordingly to the setup that you need. Make sure to save and publish the changes once that you do this.
    2) If you use any caching system, clear it and go to frontend and see if is looking ok.

    If this still does not solves your issues, may you contact me on themeisle.com/contact for a more detailed debug.

    Let me know how it goes.

    Did what you suggested. All is the same. Should I reinstall theme? Thank you.

    Again, see the above photo, I no longer can even see the options for header or footer. This new build appears to have stripped that functionality from the Customize tool. If the theme/build/whatever can’t be restored soon, I will have to choose another theme, which I do not want to do. However, the basic UI of my site is completely missing…

    Also, I rolled back to version 2.3.1 and the issue remains. Can I get direct assistance?

    EDIT: I rolled back to 2.1 and my site works again. Please resolve this issue.

    After I rolled back to 2.1 and the issue went away I did nothing further.

    However, about an hour later my site’s entire nav went away again due to auto-update settings. I reverted back again. Looking forward to a fix.

    Hello guys,

    @wholelychit I’m not able to check your site on the URL you have provided,i.e -> https://Newsfirstusausa.com so I’m not able to too much in this case. Is that the correct site or do you have some firewall behind it? I would recommend doing a rollback until de version 2.2.0 which should bring the site back to the original state.

    @hgblakeman Can you make sure you use the version 2.3.4? You can get in touch with me on themeisle.com/contact with the site URL and I can have a closer look. Meanwhile, you can rollback until the version 2.2.0 which should bring the site to the initial state.

    Let me know how it goes.

    @themeisle I reluctant to upgrade again when I know that the latest version disables my website. I can try it for a few minutes if your think you’ve got a fix.

    Hi,

    From what I’ve seen in your screenshot, I think the only way would be that, after you update, you temporarily add the following two lines at the end of your functions.php file

    remove_theme_mod('hfg_header_layout');

    remove_theme_mod('hfg_footer_layout');

    After that, those two options should be reset in the database (and you should remove those two lines from the code), making the customizer to work ok, and you will be able to recreate your header/footer using the new builder.

    Let me know if you need assistance with that.

    Regards,
    Rodica
