I’ve found setting my Storefront theme to use dark background with light font on the homepage, causes the block editor for pages to use white text (on a white background) when trying to edit pages, making it nearly impossible to read.

I’m looking for options to fix this.

Temporary workaround: while editing a page (using post.php, not any front-end “live” editor), I can open F12 tools and uncheck the color CSS rule.

Possibly I could create a child theme and edit the CSS so it doesn’t apply to the editor (but still uses my chosen font color on the front-end, of course).

In another thread (here), I was told the editor has a dark mode if the theme is built to utilize it. I’d love to do that if possible, so the editor looks closer to what the front-end looks like.

    Any other ideas out there?

PS. I’ve opened a ticket from the https://woocommerce.com/my-account/tickets/ site, which is where I’ve purchased all my WooCommerce themes/plugins for this project. I did get an automatic email confirming my ticket (#1942834), but I’m not able to login to the zendesk site where the ticket is held. It appears it should work with the same username/password as WooCommerce.com, but won’t email me a reset link even if I use the same email address that received the notification moments prior.

    Hi @shawnkeenegmailcom,

I see the ticket you have submitted to us at WooCommerce Support. Looks like we responded on Sunday requesting further action from you but I understand you are not able to log in to view our latest response, is this correct?

I will cc your email directly in the ticket with further instructions so you receive it and can respond back directly in the ticket.

I’ll close this thread for now!
