Lightbox opens for gallery items that got custom link assigned using
    the Gallery Custom Links plugin,
it should ignore those (its anchor (<a>) element gets the class no-lightbox.

Also the Advanced Gutenberg lightbox opens instead the lightbox from Easy FancyBox,
it has to be disabled manually.

Alternatively, the Advanced Gutenberg lightbox could also be usable for non-gallery images like Image blocks that link to their media file.

Something that is missing in all WordPress lightboxes is srcset/sizes for picking the right image thumb instead downloading the original image file (which can be very large).

  • Hi,

Thanks for the heads up on Advanced Gutenberg gallery/image block!
We’ll take a look at that but it’s kinda complex to be compatible with all the plugins listed out there ??

    Cheers,

Hi, Easy FancyBox looks for (and excludes) media links with class nolightbox but indeed will not be aware of no-lightbox

Not sure what’s best practice here — I never saw the use of no-lightbox with hyphen before while without hyphen seems more common, or am I mistaken? — but I could add this to the exclusion rules in Easy FancyBox.
