WordPress 1.3b and Localhost problems

I’ve installed WordPress 1.3 on my localhost dev machine (PC) and I’m working on incorporating the theme of my current site into WordPress. For some reason the index page won’t pick up the styles and none of the includes from the rest of the site using .. syntax work.
I loaded this on a Mac running Apache and tested it on the localhost there and it worked just fine. I’ve done everything I can think of including clearing everything in every browser on my PC and it still doesn’t work.
Any ideas what I can do to make it recognize the changes I make?
