Styling Menu item has disappeared and link colours on pages have changed

  • I noticed that the links on my site pages changed from the colour I set them too (without me having changed them myself). To rectify the issue with the link colour changing, I went to my WP dashboard > Appearance > Customise where my styling tab/menu should be to check the colours/try to change them back. All menu items appears for a moment but then the “styling”, “logo”, and “Miscellaneous” menu options disappear. Please can anyone tell me what the issue is? My developers and theme developers have been unable to tell me what the issue is. I have already tried deactivating each plugin one by one to see if it was a plugin conflict his hasn’t helped. I have also deactivated the parent theme and reinstalled a new version and the problem remains. If you can help, please reach out! Katie x

    By gone do you mean when you view your links on the website, they are replaced with other styles?

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for reaching out – sorry maybe I haven’t been particularly clear!

    The links are still there in the text on my pages but I set them to be constant hex code #e2c366 (gold) and now they are showing as black text and only show as #e2c366 when hovered on. I wanted the links to be constant gold so it would be clear when viewing the page they are links and not just part of body text.

    I thought the issue could have been caused because I can’t access the styling option on the side menu as described above as it disappears once the customisation menu loads.

    How do I share my site securely with you, as the issue is in WP-dashobard?
