• Hi everyone,
I’m seeking help because I’ve been unable to use my website for months because of problems when installing a theme that I purchased. What happens is that the moment that I install the demo content, the admin area of my site disappears and I’m only able to login to wordpress some days when it appears back. It shows this error at the top of my dashboard:

”Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in D:\Hosting\12238374\html\wp-content\plugins\striz-core\inc\class-import.php on line 53”.

”Striz” is the name of the theme. My site is hosted at godaddy and when the site is inaccessible it shows this error page: https://prntscr.com/nbarzm

I have already done a wordpress reset and I have re-installed wordpress from scrath and I still have the same problem. This is the second theme that I buy a theme because the previous one was having this problem with the import as well. I was advised to change my php limits and so I did, but this isn’t the problem, apparently. The theme works perfectly, the only problem is what I mention and also that I’m missing a few content files, but that’s minor.

You should also know that the theme is compatible with my PHP and mySQL versions.

Does any of you recognize this error? I’m very desperate to get my site back after all this time and all the money spent. I greatly appreciate any help.

    Thank you!

  • Hello ellizclothing,

It seems to be the conflict between the theme and plugin.

Can you please try to install the theme and try without any plugins are active.

Try to install on the default one with are bundled with the theme.

And see if the same issue happens.

As this is paid theme, you can also approach their Support forum and they will best assist you with this problem.

    Thanks.

    If it was me…

I’d probably bring the site up with a default theme like Twenty Nineteen with all the plugins disabled.

I’d play around with it and try posting and creating a page or two then bring on any plugins I might want. Play a little more and then, once I have an idea that everything is working well, I’d go for my chosen theme.

Once you know WordPress is ‘happy’ you’ll be in a better place to work with your theme and if you need help you’ll be able to approach the theme provider for more help.

Content created with one theme usually is fine presented by the next theme.

I’d not concern myself much with the demo content either. If every website ran the demo content then there would be little reason to have most of those other sites.
