• Hello everybody.

I like to create a dropdown menu with four different portfolio sections (e.g. “landscape”, “portrait”, “macro”, “architecture”). I am able to set this menu when I create five pages (“portfolio” as a page showing up in the main menu and the described four subsections as single pages showing up when hovering over “portfolio”). My problem is that the menuitem/page “portfolio” is still clickable which I dont want to. I want to open up the selection of these four subsections when clicking on portfolio or hover over “portfolio”. Currently it opens up the portfolio page when I click on “portfolio”, which I dont like to.

One possible workaround would be setting four images with links to the subsections on the main “portfolio” page, which I also want to circumvent if possible.

I hope you understand my issue and can give me a hint. I am using Minimal Portfolio Theme with a custom menu.

    Best, Stephan

  • Set the ‘Portfolio’ menu item as a custom link using whatever for the URL. Add it to your menu, drag the sections under it in the menu editor, then edit the ‘Portfolio’ custom menu link, empty out the URL field and then save the menu.

It should disable it from linking to anything but still allow for the submenus to drop down and be clickable.
