    I’m working on starting up my first wordpress blog but am having trouble with the comments. I put in a few test comments to see how it looks, but I’m not able to view them. In my admin page, I can see them. Also, on the post page it says that there are 2 comments. However, I can’t view those comments anywhere on the single page. Can anyone help me out with this? You can see an example here: https://beforethecubicle.com/uncategorized/lend-on-kiva/ – I’d really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!

  • 1. Does your theme include a comments.php file?

    2. Does that file include the line <?php wp_list_comments();?>?

    Hey esmi, thanks for your reply. It does include a comments.php file, but not that line of code. Can I just download a comments.php file from another theme and stick it in there?

    OK, got it fixed. I’m not sure what the problem was, but I figured out that it was something wrong on my single.php page. I just deleted that page and made a new one. Now it works perfectly. Thanks for your help.

    I am also having trouble getting comments to display – they show fine on the actual post page, but I’m trying to get an overview of comments to display on the home page. For whatever reason, it’s acting like there are no comments.

    I have a comments.php file and <?php wp_list_comments();?>

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!
