drag and drop new widgets do not work

    Hosting – wpengine. All plugins are deactivated, the theme is standard. WordPress, Theme and Plugin Elementor latest versions.

    I read the documentation and checked FAQ. On the WordPress root folder, i edited the wp-config.php and set the value of WP-DEBUG to true.

    Problem: drag and drop new widgets do not work. When clicked, the widget is not dragged into the block.

    Does this only happen in the staging site or also in the live envirement?

    If this only happens in staging, it might be something in wp-engines staging configuration that does not play well with Elementor?

    Hi, thanks a lot for reply. In the live environment exactly the same problem, just there is a site under construction. Support wpengine hosting answers that they have no problems on their end. What do you think is the problem?

    Strange, must be frustrating!

    It is hard to tell what is going on, but most of the time it is some conlict with a third party plugin ( or even more then one plugin ) or theme or server settings at host.

    But do I read correctly, that you only “click” a widget:

    When clicked, the widget is not dragged into the block.

    and expect it to go to the section? You need to left click with the mouse and keep the pressure of the click while you drag it into the section?
