    Hi,
recently, at least from 29th April 2019, the use of Categories include / exclude feature failed to produce a working feed: if I add any category to the “Categories to include” list, the feed is always empty, if I add any category to the “Categories to exclude” list, the corresponding category is included in the feed anyway.

It used to work perfectly fine before.

The website use the latest versions of Woocommerce, WPML and your plugin. I also tried to change the language in the “WPML language” select box but with no success.

Any idea on how to solve this?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
I have just found the solution for this. In the “Query type” option tool tip is indicated to use “Product only” when filtering categories and including variations.

Using this setting solved my problem. I don’t remember to have changed anything, is it possible that this is a new behaviour after an updgrade?

Just publishing this note in case it could help others.

    Hi @itnmario,

Sorry for a late reply. You are correct – if you are filtering by category and/or tag and including variations – you need to select “Products only” option for “Query post type”. The default option is “Products and variations” – this is done because “Products and variations” is slightly faster. If it worked before, you were probably updating from older plugin version, where there was no “Query post type” option at all and the only behavior was similar to “Products only” option. Hope you get the idea and sorry for the mess – “Query post type” was basically added as a temporary solution, I understand that filtering by category with variations should work independently of what we select in “Query post type” – will be fixing that…
