external HTML links not working

    Hey guys
    Just building my first WP site.

    Im trying to add amazon affiliate links but they just stay as links (they are not converting to a image and description) and they are not clickable.
    i have tried HTML code and Short code widgets but no luck.

    If i put these links into a basic WP page (ie without using elementor) they work (ie i will see an image and description, and it takes me to the amazon product).

    and

    I just tried those on a normal WP page and they didn’t convert to showing an image and description. Are you using some kind of plugin to make that happen? If so, it may not be compatible with Elementor and you may need to get with the plugin’s support to help resolve that.

    ok thanks for that,

    i created a new page without using elementor and used the CODE editor and the link converts to a text and image.

    not sure about the plugin as im a newby haha.

    are you suggesting i contact elementor and ask them?

    No, I’m saying you must be using another plugin or script besides Elementor for those links to be converting like that, since they don’t convert for me by default. Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and look for any that seem to be related to Amazon or ads. Contact the support of that plugin to find out if there is a way to make it work within Elementor.
