Attachments in private forum are showing

    I’ve got a private forum, but attachments uploaded into that forum are publically available/indexed by google. Is there a setting I can change somewhere to get around this?

    Private forums are not visible to search engines. But, all attachments are in the media library. If you have sitemaps plugin or something similar, these attachments are indexed, there is no way to avoid that, WordPress doesn’t have privacy for media library.

    Sure, makes sense. Is there a way that I can check if a file has been uploaded via your plugin? From there I can write a function to sort forum files into a separate directory and protect them that way.
