We have problems rendering the event information to users. That is, when the actxual event attendance information is put into the back end, users dont receive it to be added to their Google calendar properly.

As an example, we use Gotomeeting and include the GTM information in the Event field entitled “Webinar Info” That data, however, when sent to the Event registrants doesnt

    1. Properly format in the email (that is, in his a long string, and not rich text, paragraphs)
    2. Allow recipients to add the information by clicking a “Google Calendar” object (that is, the Google Calendar link is blank).

Can anyone help us fix this?

    Hi,
The ical feed is a different, separate thing from the email content. You would need to configure it separately. So you cannot compare the two.

That being said, Google Calendar is the only client (that I know of) that allows Rich Text formatting in the calendar items. Other clients, such as iCal, BusyCal, etc do not support that. So unless you know absolutely sure that all of your feed-subscribers are using Google Calendar, I would first check if formatting the feed will not cause problems on all other clients. ??

Also, please note that a calendar feed is always publicly available, unless you specifically password-protect it in the .htaccess file using a .pssword custom coded file.

So please, be aware of what you will put into the calendar feed. ??
Normally a calendar feed file is not meant for very detailed instructions, but more, the date, the time, the location and a short description.

Just to illustrate my point, this is what your website feed added to my personal iCal. ??
