The sorting by price doesn’t seem to be working, when you change the sort criteria it change the order of the products on the page but not in the correct order.

all these products are just single products, so it is not calculating the order on cheapest variation.

I have disabled all the plugins and still experience this issue.

    Any help would be great.

You mentioned you have disabled all the plugins but have you reverted to a default theme as well?

Do you have menu IDs on these products by chance? Not saying that’s the problem but trying to get as much info as possible. If you don’t know where a menu ID is it’s here.

Do you have a staging site? Somewhere where you can test? I’m not sure if having menus helps but something is off as to why it’s not sorting by price.

I also found this thread that Hannah went over with someone else. See if there’s anything here that might help

I do not have a staging site. But can create one. If I did what would you suggest testing first.

I have seen that other post before. Looks like it is for products with variables.

    Thanks.
    Pete.

It could be similar though. Variables all have a parent.

I advise to create a staging site always for testing and updating before changing anything on live site. That way you know what’s what before you do anything to live.

Once you create live site assign ID numbers to your products. You may want to also post a system check so we can review and see if we see any issues / conflicts on your site.

Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Hey @prldoyle

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

Hi. I have built a staging server. Played around with it. Can’t fix it. The server report said the the data server was to old. I updated it this morning. Still not fix.

    Any suggestions to next step?

    Hey @prldoyle

Did you get to the bottom of this?

Looking at https://trevorjonesltd.co.uk/shop/product-category/instruments/brass-instruments/trumpets/trumpets-in-bb/?orderby=price-desc – all products are displayed in descending price order as expected.

    Thanks

Not quite, It changed by itself and has got better, but still not correct. So it is nearly right now.

Picking low high to low. the first one is £3.4K and the next is £3.9K and then from then it is pretty much correct.
