THis is the message I have before updating and having the fatal error: (sorry for the french, but I beleive you can translate with some tools)

you need to update the UM Database we suggest downloading a backup plugin and saving copies to Disk Drive or Desktop. before you update. so you can recover if the update fails.

    Hi darkfreaks,
THis is what I have done, and hopfully, I could restore a back up !

Please tell me how can I do it otherwise , is there a procedure to update the UM Database?
    Thanks
    fanny

it should give you an option-if you have a host like wpengine.com or siteground.com they both have options to restore backups, just open a support ticket with them.

    Upgrade Process not complete UM

all you have to do is hit the Run button to initiate the Database update it should update just make sure everything works after.

if this solves problem hit “mark as resolved”

But I did it like this exactly the first time.
The first time, it has broken my website, I dont want to do it a second time without changing anything and trust the process as it is ..
PLease help me, the process to update the db is not working for me … ??

please contact your hosting and have them back up your website to a previous point if they can.

I am sorry, but do you read before you answer ? I know how to make a back up myself, and hopfully, because this morning my site was DOWN.

So I already know your process is not working.

My probleme now is to update the database without crashing my website.

I have exactly the same issue.
No error messages after the update, but after updating to the last version, I cannot access my WP Admin anymore. The whole site become inaccessible and a blank page is displayed. No error messages. I must restore the old plugin folder and an older version of the database in order to make the site work again.
