    Hello Woocommerce!

I am one of the Woocommerce users. I think this setting located in the “Account and Privacy” section is against GDPR.

    Current Option:

When creating an account, automatically generate a username from the customer’s email address

You should update and change the auto feature to work like:

When creating an account, automatically generate a random username (excluding a username character).

    WHY?

Because one can see the users list using many techniques so it is easy to realize if the store is using the auto-generated username. The username also sent by email so one can also take this advantage as a starting point to find someone.

    I hope it helps!
If it is NOT against GDPR, just leave it! ??
