I have created many attributes and variable products. However, I used the wrong one for a vary large number of variables. For instance I used ‘brown’ and need them all to actually be ‘brownstone’. If I go into the product and delete the ‘brown’ attribute and add in the ‘brownstone’ attribute, will I have to redo all my variables or is there a way to replace one with the other or perhaps merge them together without breaking all the variables I already created? I have 200 pricing variables set up so i definitely do not want to do this all one-by-one.

    Hey there,

If you’ve used global attributes, you’ll be able to change the name under wp-admin > Products > Attributes. However, if you’ve used product level attributes, you’d need to update each product.

If that’s the case, I’d recommend exporting all of the products to CSV and then you can make the change far more quickly. When you’re doing, import the file again, choose to overwrite existing products, and you’ll be all set. You can find more information about the exporter here:

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ll mark this thread as resolved now. If you have some more questions, feel free to start a new one.

    Cheers!
