blog posts and page content

Hi,
When I write a new post, it does not post. No error message; it just doesn’t show up. All was well 2 months ago.

I have checked the permissions on the server; they are all correct.

I am using WordPress 2.0.4 on an Intel Macbook Pro.

i am just wanting the posts to stay on the bottom and have the page content on top. but it just pulls the page content.

can anyone help me out? i’ve been trying to find something int he support to single out pages but must not be in the right area…

here is the code i have for the top of the page where i would just like the about content to display:
