• Hi,
I’ve examined this plugin for some time now and I noticed this very disturbing feature:

The images in the folder thumbnails are smashed to fit square shape. Now the image galleries looks very ugly. I’ve never had this problem with other libraries where the images are always presented with its natural proportions within thumbnail squares.

What is the problem with this library? Can this bug be fixed?

  • Hello,
even with me, this effect can be observed.
I would like to receive help in this regard, because the plugin otherwise offers excellent services.
    Thank you, Stephen

Are you guys talking about the display of thumbnails on the Media Library Folders page or are you talking about displaying thumbnails in a gallery on the front end of the site?

I am talking about the thumnails on the MLF page. These are all squares and the content without the correct aspect ratio.

Normally the plugin will display standard 150×150 size thumbnails. There are occasions when the site’s configuration does not generate the proper thumbnails sizes and/or when displaying the page, the plugin requests the proper size thumbnails from WordPress and it send back the URL of the full size image which is displayed in the 150×150 space. If that is the case, then yes, the image would be distorted.

You would need to check to see if something, perhaps another plugin, is modifying or preventing the generation of the thumbnail size used on the Media Library Folders page.
