Issue with custom excerpts on pages 2+ of blog

  • I am having an issue when creating custom excerpts in the post creation menu. I use a code that is supposed to show a read more link and pulls the permalink from that post. It’s working perfect as long as said post is in the very front page of my site, but all posts that display excerpts on pages 2 plus I get a 404 error even though I am formatting the short code exactly the same. I am using a workaround by displaying the first 50 posts on the first page just so the link will direct correctly.

    Hi,

    What code are you using to show a read more link? I see in there that there is a “read more” link that’s not coming from our plugin.

    But not sure why you’d need a custom code, the plugin allows you to add the “read more” link.
