• I am using the WP Crossfade plugin (link) and was wondering if anyone knows of how to select a URL for the banner image instead of uploading one.

Possibly adding an admin option to choose either upload or URL, or just replace the upload function all together.

    Any/all help is greatly appreciated.

This is really a great plugin. Simple to use, lightweight, plus it uses jQuery via WP. So, I LM for the plugin developer, linking to here, hopefully they will have an answer.
In the meantime, I’ve opened up the plugin and am trying to change the upload feature to allow entering an image URL. If I figure this out, I’ll be sure to post it.

    Eric,
Thanks for the suggestion, the plugin has been updated to support image url links instead of upload only.

The latest version can be found here: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-crossfade/

    Thank you Ilya!
That was very fast, and is much appreciated. I will test the upgrade on a local setup and then see how well it works live.
