• Hi guys

Do you plan on adding native integration for buddypress and bbpress? Both Learndash and LifterLMS are using these plugins now. It would be great if they integrated nicely with Astra!

    Cheers

  • Hi @menathor ,

Yes, we have a plan for adding a native integration to BuddyPress and BBPress in our future development. Here is our public roadmap link through which you can check our ongoing developments, upcoming features, and plans related to our Astra Theme.

    Regards,
    Deepak

Oh, what a pity it’s in long term plans! Can we have an idea of how long will it take?

    Hello @aline-mendes,

We don’t have a date fixed for this yet. Right now our stand is that we will fix all the issues that arise when using these plugins with Astra.

In the native integration, we will be adding customization possibilities from the theme.

Right now we have fixed the next milestones which we are working on to improve the theme overall for the majority of the users hence I don’t have a specific time that I can give you.

    Hi Nikhil,

Any news on that? So you have a tough timeline? Would be a great pr?sent dir christmas ??

    Hello @stehol,

Unfortunately, this is not in immediate plans yet. We are focusing on improving header and other parts of the main theme right now as that will be beneficial for all the users of Astra.

I understand that there is much work to add in the full customizability, but currently find direct incompatibility with astra. That is I can not view a buddypress profile page. Would it be possible to set up basic compatibility ahead of a larger release?

    Hello @carlen

We will try to work this and let you know.

    Hi,

Any news on this? Am really very keen to setup a buddypress and bbpress site with astra. Hope you guys are nearing delivery. Please let me know. Thanks

    Hey guys,

Unfortunately, there is no update as of yet. However, if you face any UI or compatibility issues, please lodge a support ticket from our website.

We can prioritize the basic issues before releasing the full integration which is a major task and will take time.

    Hey Brainstorm Force,

Astra with Buddypress would be really great – is there is any news on that? Thanks.

    Hello @89garvhf23

Unfortunately, there is no update as of yet. However, if you face any UI or compatibility issues, please lodge a support ticket from our website.

We will surely keep you guys posted on our groups and website.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

buddypress/BBpress timeline was added in their roadmap in 2018 and now its 2020 and STILL it says long term plan

SEEMS 2025 will be the right time to simply add bbpress … i wonder how a theme with so many installations is not able to add simple support to bbpress and buddypress….

    Strange and weird

    Hello @johnpaul777

Apologies as we have these items in our roadmap for a long time. But due to lower demand from our users and other high priority items, we have not yet started working on them.

Are you having any issues with BuddyPress / BBpress right now? We have a lot of users who use them with the Astra theme without any issues. It’s just that we have not added any special design integration for them.

    Hello there

I am currently experiencing difficulties with using the Astra theme and the integration of BuddyPress and BBPress. I cannot seem to connect Buddypress with a location in my website anywhere. Is this to do with Astra only having two menu options including a primary menu- which I have allocated to my main website menu.
Should I add a plugin like “Conditional Menu” to enable the creation of another “menu”. Would this be beneficial? Would love some advice on how to work around this. Do I have to change themes and then re-make the whole website? It has delayed my progression for 2 months now on my PhD project work. The purpose of using BuddyPress is to add it to LearnPress as an informal learning space/forum for asylum-seeking communities that I work with. I cannot decipher if its a menu issue, a page issue or an integration issue Any advice would be most welcome.

    Hello @kohkohnutz

We are not sure as to what could be the issue unless we take a look at it.

Please feel free to reach out to us through our Support Portal so that we can take a quick look and guide or help you accordingly.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
