• Hi,
Trying to login to a website using WordPress Social Login & LinkedIn. While doing so, I keep getting this error:

Oops! We ran into an issue. Request failed. Either you have cancelled the authentication or LinkedIn refused the connection.

User profile request failed! LinkedIn returned an invalid response.
    410. 410 1558624029419 6N9QBFS5HK 0 This resource is no longer available under v1 APIs

I’m assuming this has to do with LinkedIn’s new v2 API. But, I don’t know how to get this thing working. The plugin is up-to-date.

I ran the WordPress Social Login diagnostics and this is what turned up:

Check if OAUTH Library is auto-loaded by another plugin.

OAUTH Library is auto-included by another plugin.

This is not critical but it may prevent Twitter, LinkedIn and few other providers from working.

Please, inform the developer of that plugin not to auto-include the file below and to use OAUTH Library only when required.

    Looking for help ??

  • LinkedIn login is not working any more on our site too.

At https://www.linkedin.com/developers/apps I could see the API v1 app did no longer exist. So I created a new app, saved the new key and secret, but it won’t work and is giving only a very inconclusive error message when a user is trying to log in via LinkedIn: “The site has technical difficulties. Please check the website administrator’s e-mail inbox for further instructions.” (There is no mail in the admin account.)

It comes to one point: This plugin needs some updates soon, or we will have to look for an alternative plugin.

Ah, this new function of WordPress to capture errors. ?? I tried again, this time WordPress did send an Email.

    Error details
    ==============
An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was found in line 178 of file /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-social-login/hybridauth/Hybrid/thirdparty/LinkedIn/LinkedIn.php
    Error message: Cannot unset $this

I am also getting the same error. is there any fix for this.
