Shortcode for Shopping Cart and Not Products page?

The products page has a shortcode!

I realize the products page has a shortcode. But it doesn’t NEED to be used if you identify the products page in woo’s settings. When you identify the shopping cart in woo’s settings you still need the shortcode.

The Cart, Checkout, and other shortcode driven pages are single static pages that display the content for each respective shortcode. Product pages are created dynamically based on a template, it would be redundant to have to create a product then insert that product on a page with the shortcode.

All of them have dynamic content that gets updated depending on the user’s actions. ALL of them!

I’m NOT looking for a shortcode for the product pages for each product. The product pages just work with out a shortcode and that’s good. But if I wanted to have the product page have a special header the simplest way is to insert a shortcode under my header.

That’s the same with cart, check out, etc…..its good they have a shortcode. But they should work by just selecting which pages they should be on…..instead I HAVE TO put in a shortcode.

Is there a specific issue we can help you troubleshoot or fix?

I’m suggesting you make all of the pages for your plugin function the same. All should work with out a shortcode like the product(s) page. And then ALL should work with a shortcode as an option.

I can’t keep track of a billion boards….I got the plugin here so that’s where I’m posting. If you are really a “Automattic Happiness Engineer” I suspect you’ll repost my suggestion.
