    Hi,

Under the Knowledge Graph & Schema.org settings in the search appearance settings, I have the option of selecting a person or an organization.

As our blog is by a couple i.e two individuals, what is the best practice in this situation? We each publish content on our site under individual author names. However, the blog is represented on all social channels under the one name – i.e we have a ‘business page’ on each social platform for our blog.

Should we create an additional user on WordPress that represents both of us and assign that user as the ‘person; for the Knowledge Graph & Schema.org settings? We are equal owners/contributors but ideally, would like to each be individual authors for the posts we contribute.

Thank you for your time and we look forward to your reply.

    Hi,

Just checking if you have any updates regarding my message above?

    Thanks

    Hi,

We are not sure what the SEO benefit would be of outputting two different Person schema. We are not sure what Google would do. We only know Yoast makes you pick either a Single Person or a Single Organization.

However, we thank you for suggesting a new feature for one of our plugins. We’re not working on it at the moment but we’ll create a feature request for this, so our developers can investigate the SEO benefits and consider this when planning updates.

In the meantime, we suggest signing up for our newsletter as that is where we will announce product changes and updates. You can sign-up for it here https://yoast.com/newsletter/.
