I have customized the template for single products using Elementor. I would also like to use Elementor to add rich content description to the individual products themselves. But it seems, I am restricted to the content of the ‘Description’ tab of the ‘Product data tabs’ widget. Elementor complains if I try to edit the product using a template without this widget. Is there no way around this?

  • There is no way around this. The template is essentially a design wrapper for whichever product is pulled up by the user. If you added specific product data to the template itself, it would display that for every product. You need to add any rich content to the Product itself within the WooCommerce product editor. You can put most rich content right into the Description editor, and if that doesn’t suffice, there’s probably a Woo addon that will do what you need.

But in the end, Elementor’s template will help you make whatever is in the Woo Product edit screen more beautiful on the front end. It doesn’t however replace the Product edit screen itself.

If you need more help on this, since you are using Pro, you’ll need to open a support ticket at my.elementor.com. www.ads-software.com rules state that commercial products are not supported here.
